Nō Tararua ahau, kei te rohe o Manawatū

Nō Waikato ōku whakapapa, mā tōku koro

Ko Kakepuku te maunga, Ko Waipa te awa

Ko Ngāti Maniapoto tōku iwi

Inaianei, e noho ana au ki Te Puke

Ko Ashden Hemopo tōku ingoa

Kia ora! My name’s Ashden but most call me Ash!

I now live in Te Puke with my partner but I’m originally from a tiny place called Woodville in the Tararua region of Manawatū.

I like to describe myself as an extroverted introvert. Spending time with animals fills my cup and being in nature is how I recharge. I love music, creating art, kai, fishing and am pretty competitive on the netball court!

With a Masters degree in Psychology behind me, and a whole lot of life experience to offer; my role as a youth navigator at Taiohi Turama involves building meaningful connections with rangatahi and their whanau, exploring their dreams and aspirations together and working towards achieving mahi!
